SOFTWARE PROJECT RESCUE
Your software should accelerate your business,
not hold it back.
When a project has stalled or isn't working the way it should, we step in. We assess the full picture, focus on what matters most, and get things moving again.
Book a Project Triage
Software project rescue is the process of diagnosing, stabilising, and improving a software project that has stalled or is failing to meet expectations. It can range from targeted fixes and infrastructure improvements to full codebase rewrites — modernising legacy systems into AI-capable, maintainable platforms.
WHAT WE DO
From rescue to relaunch.
Codebase Audit
We go through the entire codebase, map its strengths and weaknesses, and give you a clear plan — what to fix now, what to build on, and how to move forward with confidence.
Legacy Modernisation & Rewrites
Outdated stack holding your team back? We modernise legacy systems or do complete rewrites — bringing your codebase onto a modern stack with AI capabilities and workflows built in.
Stack Modernisation
We upgrade your foundation so your team can build faster and spend their energy creating, not fighting their tools.
Infrastructure Fixes
We right-size your servers, simplify deployments, and build a setup that's resilient and cost-effective.
Security Audit + Fixes
We find and fix vulnerabilities before they become problems. Real fixes that hold up.
Team & Process Gaps
Great software needs more than good code. We help you build the processes and team structure to own, operate, and evolve the system going forward.
HOW IT WORKS
Three phases. Clear milestones.
Audit
We get full access — codebase, infrastructure, documentation. We read everything and ask the right questions. You get a written report: what's working, where the opportunities are, and what it will take to get there. If the report is all you need, that's a good outcome too.
Triage
We build the plan. We separate priorities from the wishlist and give you a clear roadmap with fixed scope and timeline. You know what's involved before we start.
Remediation
We do the work. Code, infrastructure, migrations, security improvements, full rewrites where needed. You get a working system and documentation that makes sense.
RESCUE VS REBUILD
Should you rescue or rebuild?
| Factor | Rescue | Rebuild |
|---|---|---|
| Core architecture | Sound but neglected | Fundamentally flawed |
| Timeline | Weeks | Months |
| Business continuity | Maintained throughout | Significant disruption |
| Best when | The foundation is solid | The product needs rethinking |
Rule of thumb: If the core idea is sound, rescue is almost always the right call. Rebuild when the architecture itself is the problem — and when you do, we rebuild with a modern, AI-capable stack.

Rescuing a startup that outgrew its MVP
Every feature broke something else. We introduced TDD, fixed CI/CD, and rebuilt a 46-component website from the ground up.

Vendor disappeared, Magento store failing, emails down. We recovered access, stabilised the site, and migrated to Shopify.

Rescue is the starting point.
Once your system is stable and modern, you're in a position to do more with it. We can help you build AI into your operations or get your data foundation in order — or both.
Start with a triage call.
We learn about your situation, give you an honest read, and tell you whether we can help. If we're not the right fit, we'll say so.

It's for when a project has stalled or hit unexpected trouble — a partnership ended, a developer moved on, or the code is hard to work with. We assess the situation and get it working again. If the foundation is solid, it's faster and more effective than starting over.
